In addition to a BA and MA from UNC Chapel Hill, Washington, NC artist Pat Holscher has studied art at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, and trained under many nationally recognized artists. She has shown in nationally juried shows across the country, receiving many awards.
She has been a member of several art organizations including the Watercolor Society of NC in which she served as President (2001 - 2002). Pat has taught beginning and continuing watercolor classes and served as juror for several art competitions. In addition to having signature membership in several art societies, Pat is most proud of her signature status in the National Watercolor Society in California and the American Watercolor Society in New York where she won the Gold Medal of Honor in its annual international show. In the past three years she has been juried into two shows in China’s Shenzhen Biennial, giving her recognition abroad.
Pat work has been featured and published in leading art magazines including: The Artist’s Magazine as finalist in two of their annual art competitions, International Artist Magazine in its “Master Painters of the World - US Showcase,” Watercolor Artist and American Art Collectors. Pat also appeared on UNC Public TV showcasing people of interest. Her work resides in private, municipal, and corporate collections, as well as, several galleries.
